I doubt, however, that BibDesk automagically extracts label to this fields when pulling \bibitem label items into BibDesk. does anybody know how to remove line breaks among bibliography entries using. The point is that now when a new item is added by dropping a file or with AppleScript the created date is not set. To use them with BibDesk just go to Preferences -> Fields and add them as new custom BibTeX fields.
